On Thursday 29th January we were invited to 3 Rivergate in central Bristol to deliver a “Beginner to Progressing Running” workshop. The business park houses the offices of many big businesses. We provided advice and guidance on how to get started and progress your running followed by a short Q&A!

It always touches me when we are invited to deliver sessions like these as it reminds me we must be doing something right and making an impact in the local Bristol running to be identified as reliable, knowledgeable and trustworthy speakers.
The event at 3 Rivergate started off with a brief overview about Kinisi Run Hub, how we got started and what we offer. Next we had a discussion about why the participants were there and what their current relationship with running is like. We encouraged them to really think about their “why” for running as something to reflect on when things get tough.
This was followed by an informal presentation about some tips and tricks to get more into running, things to think about when starting out and ways to build up your running. We focused on aspects such as pacing, kit and nutrition. We ended with a short debrief to discuss some recovery techniques and think about future running goals.
Thank you very much to 3 Rivergate Bristol for selecting us to deliver the Beginner to Progressing Running workshop and thank you to all the employees from the building who attended the event and listened to what we had to say!
