For those needing a more stable shoe, the Saucony Guide 18 recently launched and looks very nice!

The Saucony Guide 18 remains similar to the Saucony Guide 17 which was a completely different shoe compared to the Saucony Guide 16. The main changes to the Guide 18 is an updated upper which provides a little more space but this does sacrifice some weight. Despite this it still provides a high amount of cushioning for a relatively lightweight shoe. It remains a stable trainer that is relatively unintrusive and moderately cushioned but the price has dropped by ยฃ5 to ยฃ130.
Experience comfort and protection in a shoe that keeps the foot centred and supported. Center Path Technology provides comfort and protection through a broader platform, higher sidewalls and an asymmetric profile to guide your stride. Soft and responsive PWRRUN foam in the midsole ensures ultimate protection for smooth and comfortable miles. The XT-900 carbon rubber outsole provides durable traction and the engineered mesh upper enhances breathability.

Here are the specs:
- Shoe Type: Stability
- Use: Everyday Running
- Stack Height: 35mm/29mm
- Drop: 6mm
- Weight: 245g (Womens) / 272g (Mens)
- Price: ยฃ130

And here is a bit more about the tech:
- PWRRUN+ – midsole foam formulated at a lower density to increase softness and decrease weight. By absorbing impact, reducing pressure, responding to your stride and returning energy, the cushioning delivers a soft feeling that unbelievably plush and springy
- PWRRUN – midsole foam formulated to be soft. The traditional EVA-based cushioning provides energy-return rebound and durability
- Center Path Technology – comfort and protection with a broader platform, higher sidewalls, an asymmetric profile and a rocker shape that guides your stride from impact to toe off
