On Wednesday the 14th May we had our final event in the Kinisi Run Hub Festival of Running. It was a running recovery workshop delivered by MoveWell and supported by Happy Shot. Everyone had the chance to take part in a mobility & activation warm up followed by a post-run self-massage session and the chance to trial some delicious juice from Happy Shot.

A big thank you to Hen, the co-founder of MoveWell, for bringing down the demo massage tools and delivering the warm up and post-run recovery sessions! A big thank you also to Ben, the founder of Happy Shot, for bringing along the juice bar and informing us about the health benefits of his tasty juices!

We had a solid turnout for our event with a mix of returning and new faces. Once everyone arrived, Hen from MoveWell took us through a pre-run warm up that involved some mobility and activation work with bands. After this we set off on an easy, social group 5k recovery run around the harbour. It was a perfect evening for it with blue skies and sunshine.

Once we returned to the shop everyone enjoyed a delicious fruit juice freshly prepared in the shop by Ben from Happy Shot. He told us a bit more about the brand and the health benefits of his fruit juices. After this Hen led a recovery session showcasing how to use recovery tools and effective stretches to help the body recover after training.
