Kinisi Run Hub are excited to welcome the Hoka Arahi 8 to our store! This surprisingly sleek shoe maintains that secure ride needed from a stability shoe while using softer materials for more comfort and protection.
The stability in the shoes comes from Hoka’s H-Frame™ stabilising system that replaces the previous J-Frame™ found in earlier versions of the Arahi. The frame sits in the midsole foam as a much denser piece of foam. It interlocks with the rest of the foam to create a more secure base on both the medial and lateral sides of the feet making it an “H” shape.
The H-Frame™ combats overpronation while providing a smooth entry into the gait cycle. The patented technology is designed to prevent excessive inward roll (overpronation) without overcorrecting gait to allow more natural movement.
A dual-layer midsole combines different densities of EVA foam to offer targeted stability and comfort. The firmer H-Frame™ sits on top of a softer layer of foam to create a more plush underfoot feel. Compared to previous versions of the Arahi, this one features softer foams for even more cushion and comfort.
An increased heel-to-toe drop has been achieved by adding 3mm of foam to the heel to absorb even more impact on landing. This is combined with Hoka’s signature smooth Metarocker™ to enhance heel-to-toe roll through and generate a more responsive toe-off for when you want to go faster. The super abrasion rubber on the outsole ensures optimal traction.
The sleek jacquard upper has been refined to provide a fine-tuned fit for a variety of foot types. The last of the shoe has also been updated and made wider to offer an enhanced step-in feel and more pleasant running experience.
