Even more DNA LOFT v3 nitrogen-infused foam in both the heel and forefoot of the midsole guarantees more cushioning for smooth running kilometre after kilometre. Brooks’ premium foam technology was first introduced into the Ghost family in version 16 and provides a soft yet responsive ride that doesn’t sacrifice durability.
The increased foam volume is delivered through an extra 1mm rise in the heel and 3mm rise in the forefoot. This not only provides more impact absorption and joint protection but also a more balanced ride through the gait cycle by decreasing the heel-to-toe drop from 12mm to 10mm. The lower drop promotes a smoother transition from heel strike to toe-off.
This newly engineered midsole geometry allows an even more fluid and effortless stride. Combined with precisely placed flex grooves encourages a natural foot motion and efficient energy transfer to reduce fatigue and maintain momentum making every mile feel good. The plush underfoot cushioning and smooth ride is complemented by a more tailored and supportive upper. The upgraded double jacquard engineered Air Mesh upper enhances breathability and adds targeted structure to key areas around the foot. Expect a snug yet flexible fit with better foot lockdown for a range of foot shapes.
A redesigned kickback collar improves comfort by supporting the ankle and reducing the likelihood of irritation or slippage. This small feature provides even more cushy comfort even during longer runs.
