We are very excited to announce that we are hiring and have an exciting job opportunity for a proactive, engaging and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at Kinisi Run Hub!

At the moment we are quite flexible in what the role can look like in terms of hours and days so encourage anyone interested to get in touch!

We’re seeking a friendly and enthusiastic part-time retail sales assistant who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and contributing to a welcoming and inspiring retail environment.

The role will be based in our store which is located at Unit 2 Imperial Arcade, East Street, Bristol, BS3 4HH.

We are looking for a part-time employee for approximately 15-20 hours per week. It will be variable shifts however the shift pattern will largely include three 5 hour days between Monday-Wednesday (approx. 11:00-4:00). There may be some weekend and evening work involved.

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service as an integral part of the sales experience.
  • Assist customers with their queries and concerns using product knowledge and experience.
  • Support the management team in ensuring the smooth operation of the store, taking ownership of tasks with responsibility and initiative.
  • Maintain high standards of store presentation and cleanliness at all times.
  • Efficiently operate the Shopify point-of-sale system, processing all payment methods accurately while adhering to customer care and security protocols.
  • Ensure all merchandise is handled, displayed and packaged with care.
  • Provide expert sports bra fitting services, guiding customers from the sales floor through to the fitting suite and final purchase (will receive full training).
  • Provide in-depth gait analysis services, guiding customers through the analysis to shoe fitting and final purchase (will receive full training).
  • Assist with sending follow-up emails to customers including gait analysis reports and general thank you notes.
  • In the absence of any other management, open and close the store, ensuring the store trades safely and legally.
  • Assist with planning and running in-store events such as shoe demo events and educational seminars.
  • Positively represent and promote store at local races and events.

We will be looking for individual that match the following candidate requirements:

  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Previous retail experience, ideally in a customer-facing environment.
  • A strong interest in running, along with a good knowledge of running shoe brands and related apparel and equipment.
  • High levels of energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude, with the ability to stay composed under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a diverse customer base.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
  • Computer literate with a good understanding of email and other basic software applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to stand during scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to manoeuvre stock regularly.
  • Bending, stooping, extended reaching and climbing ladders while placing merchandise throughout store, organising stock room and assisting customers.
  • Ability to operate Shopify point-of-sale system (will receive full training).
