There's a new name on the shoe wall at Kinisi Run Hub — although it's certainly not a new name in the world of running.
We're incredibly excited to announce that Kinisi Run Hub is now stocking Diadora, bringing one of Italy's most historic sporting brands to the shop.
And we're kicking things off with an exciting new launch.
The Diadora Corsa has arrived at Kinisi Run Hub — a lightweight, energetic daily trainer designed to blur the lines between everyday mileage and faster running.
It's the first Diadora running shoe to join our range, but it certainly won't be the last, with more Diadora models arriving at Kinisi Run Hub over the coming months.
Introducing Diadora
Founded in Caerano di San Marco, Italy, in 1948, Diadora began life as a small workshop producing handcrafted hiking and work boots.
By the 1960s the company had moved into sports footwear, and during the following decades Diadora became one of the most recognisable names in international sport.
Running and athletics became part of the Diadora story during the 1970s, before the brand developed relationships with some of the world's leading athletes throughout the 1980s.
One particularly significant moment came at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, when Italian marathon runner Gelindo Bordin won Olympic gold wearing Diadora.
Diadora's sporting history extends far beyond running too, with names including Björn Borg, Roberto Baggio and Ayrton Senna all forming part of an extraordinary sporting heritage.
A Historic Brand with a New Generation of Running Shoes
It's that combination of heritage and modern performance that makes Diadora such an exciting addition to Kinisi.
This isn't simply about bringing back running shoes from the past.
Diadora has been investing heavily in its modern performance running range, combining its Italian design heritage with new foams, geometries and technologies.
In 2021, the launch of the Equipe Atomo marked another important moment for the brand, becoming its first technical running shoe manufactured in Italy for 30 years and signalling a renewed focus on performance running.
Today, Diadora has developed a broad collection covering everyday training, faster running and racing.
And the first model we're bringing to Kinisi Run Hub represents that new generation perfectly.
New Shoe Alert — Meet the Diadora Corsa
The Diadora Corsa is a lightweight, energetic daily trainer designed for runners who don't necessarily want their everyday running shoe to feel like a traditional everyday trainer.
Instead, Diadora has created a shoe capable of sitting somewhere between daily mileage and performance training.
Easy miles? Absolutely.
Longer runs? No problem.
Want to increase the pace and throw in some faster efforts? That's where things start to get particularly interesting.
The Corsa is designed to offer enough comfort and durability to regularly train in, while remaining light and responsive enough to come alive when you want to run faster.
And it does all of that without a carbon plate.
ANIMA N2 — Lightweight, Responsive Cushioning
At the heart of the Corsa is Diadora's new ANIMA N2 midsole technology.
ANIMA N2 uses a supercritical-foamed EVA compound designed to deliver a combination of cushioning, extremely low weight and high energy return.
Diadora reports that the compound increases responsiveness by 40% compared with its EVA Light foam while simultaneously reducing weight by 40%.
That helps the Corsa achieve one of its standout characteristics: providing plenty of cushioning underneath the foot without losing the light, energetic feeling you'd expect from a performance trainer.
Performance Without a Carbon Plate
Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of the Corsa is what isn't inside it.
There's no carbon plate.
Instead, the high-energy ANIMA N2 midsole works alongside an SCF TPU element to create the responsive feeling underneath the foot.
For runners who enjoy lightweight, energetic shoes but don't necessarily want the stiffness or feel of a carbon-plated racer, that makes the Corsa particularly interesting.
It's a shoe designed to feel at home during everyday training while still having the ability to move through the gears when the pace increases.
Just 230g
Despite having a 39mm heel and 31mm forefoot stack, the men's Corsa weighs approximately 230g in a UK size 9.
The women's version is even lighter at approximately 190g.
Combined with an 8mm heel-to-toe drop, this gives the Corsa the lightweight feeling you'd expect from a performance shoe while retaining enough cushioning underneath the foot for regular training.
A Wider Toe Box and Broad Platform
Performance doesn't have to mean cramped.
Diadora has built the Corsa on a completely new last featuring a wider toe box and broad platform.
The additional room through the forefoot allows the toes more space, while the wider platform underneath the foot helps create a stable and controlled base.
It's an interesting combination: a shoe designed to feel fast and energetic without sacrificing the comfort required to regularly train in it.
Built for Regular Mileage
A versatile trainer needs to be able to cope with plenty of miles, so Diadora has used its Special Duratech D2500 compound across the full outsole.
The wear-resistant rubber is designed to provide both grip and durability, reinforcing the idea that the Corsa isn't a performance shoe that needs to be saved for special occasions.
It's designed to be run in.
A lot.
