Maurten Drink Mix 160 dissolves 40 grams of carbohydrates with 500ml of water in patented Hydrogel Technology. 

The drink becomes a hydrogel upon contact with stomach acid which encapsulates the carbohydrates, carrying them through the stomach to be absorbed meaning those who suffer with gastrointestinal distress when consuming carbohydrate fuel during exercise are less likely to. Any sensations of liquid sloshing in the stomach are reduced through a lower viscosity and less thick mix which makes it easier to consume.

Unlike the acidic nature of most sports drinks, the Maurten drink mix contains a small amount of sodium bicarbonate which helps maintain a neutral pH and minimises any harm to teeth enamel. The mix also has a higher tolerance to calcium in water meaning more reliable fuelling even when travelling to races and using unfamiliar water sources. 

One Maurten Drink Mix 160 provides 40g of carbohydrate enough for around 40 minutes of moderate to intense exercise.
