K Tape can help reduce pain from injured muscles during rehab by reducing inflammation, providing dynamic support for ligaments and tendons, improving proprioception and providing postural correction.

How does K Tape work?

• Reduces pressure on pain receptors - the recoil creates a lifting motion on the skin which creates space between the top layer of skin and underlying tissues to reduce pressure on pain receptors and encourage lymphatic flow
• Increase lymphatic drainage - the lifting action reduces compression on the affected which allows fluids to move into the lymphatic vessels more easily and removes waste substances, excess fluids and cellular debris from the blood stream
• Reduces pain through sensory bombardment - targets the neuromuscular system which provides muscles and areas of pain with sensory bombardment and reduces pain (tricks brain into forgetting about area of pain as it has other sensory inputs to focus on)
• Improves movement - providing areas with a new sensory input can enhance motor control which means movements can be performed more accurately

Instructions for use:

1. Tape must not be used over untreated wounds. Complex applications should be performed by a specialist.
2. Clean the parts of the body that need taping, cut tape as required and press the adhesive surface gently onto the skin.
3. Apply the tape in the direction that feels most comfortable.
4. Take care when using the tape in case of sensitive skin. Remove the tape immediately in the event of allergic reaction.
5. Each piece of tape should be used once only. Remove tape carefully after use.
